We thought the world had changed with the internet but speed and location has always been the issue .....with Fibre it's about to change again.....speed will change expectation and perception.
Craig Meek is an experienced technology entrepreneur who has developed an international reputation for developing ground-breaking interactive web-based applications (apps).
After training and graduating in visual communications, with a focus on the dynamic interactive space, Craig founded Terabyte Interactive, now recognised as the oldest multimedia company in the world and still a leading interactive agency.
Craig went on to co-found Virtual Spectator, a technology application that was instrumental in the development of the first online real-time 3D graphics for the America's Cup. He also helped to lead Virtual Spectator into golf, cricket and music.
Craig founded his current venture, Futuretech Labs, as an incubator for innovative data visualisation technology ideas.
Craig's presentation at the Unison Fibre Business Expo will focus on outlining his vision for what he believes will be the next wave of “broadband applications” – tools that take advantage of high-speed fibre broadband networks to improve communication and collaboration, especially for businesses.
He will outline how the combination of fast broadband and smart applications is breaking down barriers of distance, and opening up national and international opportunities for Hawke's Bay businesses.
